Un Jardin sur le Nil is echoing both a previous china pattern of lotus flowers and an exotic trip along the Egyptian river, all the way up to Aswan where the arresting smell of green mango (a dead-ringer for grapefruit) took the perfumer by surprise and inspired him to put it into an aquarelle of a scent such as this one. The tartness and freshness of the top is deepened by cedar wood and in turn softened and warmed by sycamore and a hint of incense.
